Privacy Policy

The short version: Stoke BBQ doesn’t want your data — it wants you to have it. Everything you log stays on your device. We run no servers, require no accounts, and include no analytics or tracking of any kind.
What we collect
Nothing. Stoke BBQ has no user accounts, no sign-in, and no analytics SDKs. We don’t collect, transmit, or sell any personal information, and we can’t see your cooks even if we wanted to.
Where your data lives
All of your cook logs, photos, report cards, fuel records, and pit maintenance history are stored locally on your device (and in your personal device backups, if you have those enabled). Deleting the app deletes that data.
Probe service credentials
If you connect a ThermoWorks or MEATER account, those credentials are stored in the device Keychain only — Apple’s encrypted credential store on your phone. They are used solely to fetch your live probe readings directly from that service, and they never pass through any server of ours. Disconnecting a probe service removes the credentials.
The AI Cook Coach
The Cook Coach runs entirely on your device using Apple’s on-device models. Your cooks, your temps, and your questions are never sent to a cloud AI service. That’s why the Coach works with zero signal at the pit.
Purchases
Subscriptions are handled by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. Apple’s handling of that transaction is covered by Apple’s privacy policy.
Your data is portable
You can export your cook log from the app at any time. It’s your data — no hostage situations.
Changes to this policy
If the app’s behavior ever changes in a way that affects your privacy, we’ll update this page and note it in the App Store release notes before the change takes effect.
