Common questions

Do I need fancy probes? No. Manual mode is built for the hand-thermometer crowd: the app schedules check-ins, pings you when it’s time, and you log the reading in two taps. You get the same graphs, grades, and report cards as the probe folks.

Which probes work with it? ThermoWorks and MEATER cloud connections today. Multiple probes per cook, multiple proteins per pit, each tracked separately. More integrations are on the list — tell us yours.

Does the AI Coach send my cooks to the cloud? No. The Coach runs on-device using Apple’s models, which is why it works with zero bars at the pit and your data stays put.

Can I get my data out? Yes. Your cook log exports from the app — it’s your data. No hostage situations.

Where is my data stored? Locally on your device. There are no accounts and no servers. See the Privacy Policy for the full (short) story.

How do I manage my subscription? Subscriptions are handled by Apple. Open Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone, or manage them directly in the App Store.
